Mrs. Looney

Opening day
6:00 AM

GRATITUDE abounds
as the day awakens
Slowly and silently the sun
peeks out over the horizon
Peaks
reflecting its early morning
simplicity on the neighbor's pond
All is well

I wonder what Michael is doing as he sits quietly
awaiting
on this perfect day
I wonder as Carl traipses
through the woods with Dad
Is Cayden up at Grandma's?
Have any of my girls
risen before dawn to engage
in this age-old sport
feeding families since
the beginning of time?

Gratitude radiates
as the sun shines
in its brilliance
its splendor
its grandeur
Glorious day

Shots ring out
from various directions
Watch over them, Keeper of the Earth,
Blanket them in safety

BEHOLD!
Do they
hear the sounds that abound,
see the magnificence that surrounds them?
Are they writing poems
in their minds,
in their hearts
as they engage
in this family tradition
that brings forth
sustenance,
connectedness,
life?
I drink my tea
and
wonder

Thank you!
Thank You, for being there for me.
Thank You, for loving me.
Thank You, for taking care of me.
And most of all, Thank You for keeping a smile on my face.

Happiness,
means a smile
on your face,

Happiness,
means a laugh
in your ears,

Happiness,
means you're doing
something you love

Happiness,
means you let
yourself be free,

Happiness,
means friends by
your side, always.

You,
You shine bright
like the colors
in the morning
skies,

You,
Your voice is
vibrant and proud
as a new presidents
speeches,

You,
You make me
smile like I
got my favorite
Christmas present

You,
You make me
smile more
than ever.

Thank You!

SADNESS
THE FEELING SADNESS RUNS INSIDE YOU
DON’T GET SAD WHEN YOU ARE FEELING SICK
YOUR FRENIDS AND FAMILY WILL MISS THE REAL YOU
YOU DON’T CRY WERE FEEL YOU PAIN
WHEN A FAMILY MEMBER DOSNT CARE
YOU CAN JUST GET UP AND BE HAPPY
JUST REMEMBER HAPPINESS IS THE TRUTH
ALSO THAT FAMILY IS WITH YOU ALL THE TIME

your eyes, they shine bright like diamonds in the sky.

Your hair, goes with the flow of the wind gold and vibrant.

You, I love you I love everything about you, you’re the best thing

Pigs, pigs, pigs,
How wonderful they be
Piggy, piggy, piggy,
How wonderful they be,
Pigs, pigs, pigs,
The cutest little babies
If they don’t get rabies
They’ll be the cutest babies
Despite their dirty reputation
They keep the cleanest station
Pigs, pigs, pigs,
How wonderful they be
Piggy, piggy, piggy
If you think pigs are pink
Your pig knowledge stinks
They’re fur is really white
Pigs, pigs, pigs
How wonderful they be
Piggy, piggy, piggy,
The cutest little things
Feed from corn and grain
Is what they’ve always ate
And when a pig grows up big
He’ll be on my plate

Breakfast

Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle,
Breakfast is almost ready
Crack, crack, crack,
As the eggs are breaking
Into a bowl
Pour, pour, pour,
As I dump orange
Juice into my cup
Thaw, thaw, thaw,
The sausage thaws
From the freezer
Bread, bread, bread,
Being put into the toaster
Yum, yum, yum,
As I gladly grab
A fork and knife
Munch, munch, munch,
As I eat my breakfast
And drink my orange juice.
Now I am ready
For the day to begin.

Katie and Sadie!
Katie and Sadie ran around town,
Then they fell down,
There were very fine,
Then they got ready to dine,
They ate like pigs,
They ate the figs,
They ran around,
And made a big sound,
Mother and father were depressed,
Because they made a big mess,
Katie and Sadie were sent to bed,
Then they said “no!

Bacon!
Are you a lattice lover?
Or are you like me and love BACON?
If you are not here is a little saying that some doctors say
Some BACON a day will keep the doctor away.
Well that is true cause I only had to go to the doctors eight times this year!
Well kids and adapts you should eat more bacon.

So much depends upon,
A St. Bernard to love,
And to cherish,
When times are rough,
When it comes time for bed,
He will be waiting all night,
To play again tomorrow

In the night sky,
A comet flies through
Like a falcon
Zooming through the
Open daylight
The comet leaves
A trail of dust
While the falcon
Leaves a trail of feathers
As the night sky fades
And the daylight turns dark
Neither is found

What animal are you?
Possibly you are a kitten.
So meek and tiny
Or are you a lion?
So full of pride and
Doesn’t let things get in your way
Or are you a graceful swan?
So peaceful and delicate
Or you are possibly a muskrat.
Who let’s people pick on you
And you don’t tell anyone
So what animal are you?
Whatever animal you are
Don’t be a muskrat.

So much depends upon,
A cat to hold,
To cuddle,
And to smother with love,
Then when it’s time for bed,
That cat will snuggle up with you,
Until the morning comes

Once Upon A Day

Once upon a day there was leafs falling.
There was leafs fall, fall, falling.
Listen to the wind whipping.
Listen to it whip, whip, whipping.
Hear the squirrels playing.
Hear them play, play, playing.
They play all day in the whip, whip,
whipping wind and the fall, fall, falling leaves.
Once upon a day.

The night sky
Where all of
The dead
Watch you
The great
Beasts make
Our constellations
Leo the Lion and
Many others
But you may find
One of your long

The lion is the king
All his might
And glory
He rules the savannah
And every thing
Fears the all mighty beast
While the tiger rules the
Great jungle
All fear the powerful
Tiger
The tiger
And lion
Are enemies
But they keep
Peace between
The jungle
And savannah.

Stereotypes.
Why do we have these groupings?
They are so mean.
Why can’t it all stop.
The racism.
It really needs to stop.
People around the world
Are being judged by their color.
Do you think that’s fair.
If you do then you’re a bad person.
Because that is %100 not fair.
Not all people of that race are bad people.
But they are still being accused off things other
People did.
So please don’t
Be racist.
It’s terrible.

Friends...
Friends, are always there for you
Friends, they love you no matter what
Fake friends, are people who use you, and don’t care about you
True friends, are people who are always there for you, they love you, they care about you, and most of all there always by your side…

Gertrude my grandma
I still find her in my dreams
She has past but yet till night she comes alive
The day she past
I knew it was not the last.
She still comes alive
She still lives in my heart
Gertrude the name that comes at night
The name that fills me with joy

WINTER

Many things happen in winter
New Year’s Eve,
Christmas,
And birthdays,
Many yummy smells are in the winter
Like cookies,
Gingerbread,
And lots of candy cane scents,
Many morning smells to cherish
Like an open fire to warm you up,
Eggs and bacon sizzling, still on the stove,

OHH HOW I LOVE WINTER!!!!!!!!

The Ocean
The ocean so blue,
Reminds me of you,
Your blue eyes like an ocean,
So lost in thought,
Forget about the world,
And all the bad things,
When I look into your eyes,
I feel like I’m looking at an ocean,
The ocean so blue,
Reminds me of you.
